Barry Bonds

izraelj

Unsealed testimony reveals that Major League Baller Barry Bonds tested positive for elevated testosterone in 2001. He made a lot of excuses: that he didn't know, that he was abducted by alien steroid zombies, that everyone is different. He's right—some people are just more mannish than others. Maybe they tested him after he watched a Shaft marathon, or while he was listening to NWA in his headphones. I could see how macho movies and aggressive rap lyrics could stoke his T-levels. Maybe, but I doubt it. I think Barry Bonds took performance enhancing drugs. And the time has come for Bonds to step up, be a man and confess his doping sins. Not just because he broke the rules, but because there are kids out there who look up to him.  He can still redeem himself by doing the right thing.

He can't undo the drugs that he's done, and his legacy is sufficiently tainted and annotated. But the way for him to salvage what's left of his reputation is to come clean. There's a lot to be said for standing up to face the music. Yes, I've heard the argument that officials haven't dogged Mark McGuire the way they hound Bonds for similar accusations. It's true: there does seem to be some different treatment. In the long run, I'm not sure it matters. Bonds has been chasing history for the better part of his life. He should do the noble thing now and not let history smear his name. Bonds should Man Up and come clean about his steroid use.

 It's hard but it's fair.

The only reason McGuire didn't take as much crap is because he knew he would fall under the same scrutiny so he quit the game.  You never hear from him.

I agree, look at Jason Giambi. he said "I did it and I'm sorry." He had to listen to some boos for a while but now most of it is forgotten. Clemens could also take a lesson from Giambi in that department. Mac ducked out of the game before the s--- hit the fan but his legacy is gone. He disgraced himself by refusing to answer questions in front of the senate. there aren't too many kids out there idolizing him. I f baroid comes clean and has another good year or two without roids he might be partly forgiven. if he keeps lying like Clemens he'll go down as the greatest cheater of all times.

One test or numerous tests, that is easlily answered. It was ONE!, What is the false positive on said test...until they have numerous tests its all speculative. Bonds offered the writers to do the other test, no one took him up on it...until there is a smoking gun, and Conte says there isn't one that he knows of, its just talk and more talk. Give real proof or speculate. The questions at the grand Jury were so vauge that the govt. case is getting a do-over. Where are the saved needles and pld blood?

The talk about kids is bogus, its the adults that feel ripped off. Some people just hate winners!

What will the talk be when Alex  breaks the record?
